Moped Breakdown Assistance is a Belgian-law assistance insurance policy from AG SA, distributed by BNP Paribas Fortis SA. The policy is valid for 1 year, at the end of which it will be renewed by tacit agreement for the same period, except where it is cancelled at least three months before the renewal date.
For a policy taken out or renewed by tacit agreement on or after 1 October 2024, you have until two months before the renewal date to cancel it. In addition, from the second year onwards, you can cancel the policy at any time. Cancellation will take effect at the end of a 2-month period starting the day after notice is given by registered mail or served upon us, or the day after we provide an acknowledgement of receipt.
Your Moped Liability Insurance includes basic assistance, such as towing after an accident and puncture repair. With this supplementary cover, you'll also receive additional support in the event of:

Repatriation of driver and passengers
If your moped can't be repaired on the spot, we'll transport the driver and passengers to their preferred address in Belgium.
Free choice of repairer in case of a technical fault
In the event of a technical issue, you can choose the garage where your moped will be repaired. For punctures or wrong fuel, we'll tow your moped to the nearest garage.
We provide breakdown assistance in Belgium and up to 300 km beyond the border for incidents such as accidents, mechanical failure, punctures, lost keys or wrong fuel.
Expenses incurred without prior agreement from the Assistant (unless specified in the contract).
Assistance needed while under the influence of alcohol, intoxicated, or in a similar state.
