Top Vélo is a Belgian insurance product from AG, distributed by BNP Paribas Fortis. It is a one-year contract that automatically renews for the same period, unless you cancel at least 3 months before the main renewal date.
For contracts taken out or automatically renewed from 1 October 2024, you have up to 2 months before the main renewal date to cancel. From the second year of insurance onwards, you can cancel the contract at any time. Cancellation will take effect 2 months after the date of the registered letter, notification, or acknowledgement of receipt.
Our bike and new mobility insurance provides a range of guarantees to ensure you have the right level of cover for your needs. Your premium is calculated based on your vehicle, its value, and the level of cover you choose.

This guarantee covers all accidents: falls, collisions, and damage caused by natural forces.
It is valid worldwide.
This guarantee covers vandalism and theft if there has been violence or break-in, such as: attempted theft, theft in a private or communal garage, theft on public roads, theft in a bike parking lot, theft on a bike rack on a car or in a car.
If there has been no violence or break-in, the certified anti-theft device** with which the bike or mobility vehicle was attached to a fixed point must have been broken.
As for mountain bikes, racing bikes, or new motorised vehicles – scooters, monowheels, etc. – they must be kept in a locked room or behind a closed fence between 10pm and 6am.
The theft guarantee is valid worldwide.
This guarantee intervenes in case of breakdown, accident, attempted theft, or theft, both for you and/or your mobility vehicle.
The Assistance Guarantee is valid from 1 km from your home and in almost all of Europe*
A bike, mountain bike, or monowheel accident in your personal life can be costly! This guarantee covers your own bodily injuries and those of your family members.
It provides reimbursement for medical expenses after intervention by the mutual insurance company (up to €5,000 per insured person) and compensation in case of permanent disability (up to €100,000 per insured person) or death (up to €50,000 for the policyholder and their spouse).
The accident guarantee is valid worldwide.
Accessories such as child seats, transport bags, trailers, cameras, and GPS devices are also covered in the event of total theft of the insured bike or mobility vehicle, as well as in the event of damage if the bike or mobility vehicle has the Material Damage Guarantee.
Accessories acquired after taking out the insurance are automatically covered up to a maximum of 10% of the value of the main insured object, with a limit of €500.
Your helmet (less than 3 years old) is automatically covered and will be compensated in the event of an accident (up to €100).
The material damage guarantee covers all accidents: collisions, falls, loading/unloading, transport, etc.

Damage caused to bike parts or other mobility vehicles due to a defect, lack of maintenance, or use not in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Theft between 10 pm and 6 am, if the mountain bike, racing bike, or new motorised mobility vehicle is not kept in a locked room or behind a closed fence.
Theft of accessories if there is no total theft of the bike.
Physical injuries related to an intentional act committed by you, as the insured person or beneficiary, or occurring in the context of your professional activity or on the way to work.
Damage caused or aggravated by objects transported, as well as by overloading the bike, its trailer, or another mobility vehicle.
Material damage, scratches, etc. not related to another damage.
* The assistance guarantee is valid in the European Union (except in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Cyprus), as well as in the United Kingdom, the Principality of Monaco, San Marino, Andorra, Liechtenstein, the Vatican City, Switzerland, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Iceland, Macedonia, Norway, and Serbia. It does not apply in the Canary Islands and Madeira, in the Spanish enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla on African territory, in Turkey, or on French territory outside of metropolitan France. The guarantee takes effect 1 km or more from the insured person's home.
** A certified anti-theft device is an ART 2-star certified anti-theft device or a chain lock, U-lock, or folding lock with a minimum value of €60 (which allows attaching the frame of the insured object to a fixed point, i.e., a fixed, immobile, and rigid part, in stone, metal, or wood, solidly attached to a wall or the ground, and from which the insured object cannot be detached or removed, even by lifting). By extension, a car and another bike are considered a fixed point. The anti-theft device is considered an accessory within the meaning of the contract.
