Have you been the victim of fraud? Call FraudStop on 078 170 170: available 24/7, this number puts you directly through to your bank’s fraud department for immediate assistance.

Do you think you may have been the victim of fraud? Every second counts, but in an emergency it is not always easy to know what to do. Although every bank has its own fraud hotline, stress can make it difficult to find the right contact details. The result? Valuable minutes lost.

Reliable and easy to recognise

In addition to the usual BNP Paribas Fortis channels – the Easy Banking Centre and the fraud department – you can now call FraudStop on 078 170 170. This telephone number is available 24/7 and uses the same number as Card Stop, a deliberate choice, as it is already widely recognised. There is therefore no need to remember a new number.

How does FraudStop work?

When a potential victim calls FraudStop, they receive immediate assistance to help stop the fraud. Depending on the procedures of their bank, there are two possible outcomes: either FraudStop sends a message to their bank, or the caller is put directly through to their bank’s fraud department. In the latter case, it is vital to stay on the phone until the transfer is completed. In both cases, the bank will do everything possible to take the necessary security measures.

Your bank is at your disposal

FraudStop is an additional central point of contact, but of course you can still contact us directly if you have any doubts or need to stop a fraud attempt:

  • Easy Banking Centre on +32 2 762 90 00, from 7am to 10pm on weekdays and from 9am to 5pm on Saturdays.
  • BNP Paribas Fortis fraud department on +32 2 433 43 80 outside the opening hours of the Easy Banking Centre.
