Top Occasium is a Belgian-law comprehensive insurance policy by AG, distributed by BNP Paribas Fortis. The policy is valid for 1 year, at the end of which it will be renewed by tacit agreement for the same period, except where it is cancelled at least three months before the renewal date.
For a policy taken out or renewed by tacit agreement on or after 1 October 2024, you have until two months before the renewal date to cancel it. In addition, from the second year onwards, you can cancel the policy at any time. Cancellation will take effect at the end of a 2-month period starting the day after notice is given by registered mail or served upon us, or the day after we provide an acknowledgement of receipt.
On or before 31 December 2025, you can benefit from several cumulative discounts, except for "Fully Insured Client" with "Welcome Gift".
Benefit from a 10% discount throughout the duration of your contract on Liability (RC) and Top Occasium coverage if you also have an active Top Habitation fire insurance contract with BNP Paribas Fortis
Benefit from a 10% discount for the first year of your contract if you do not meet the "Fully Insured Client" conditions¹⁺².
To encourage low-CO2 mobility, you benefit from a 10% discount for the entire duration of your contract if your vehicle is electric or hybrid¹⁺².
Driver assistance systems reduce the risk of accidents. That’s why you’ll benefit from a 10% discount on Third-Party Liability cover and on the ‘Material Damage’ section of your comprehensive insurance if your vehicle is equipped with at least 2 of the following 5 systems: lane assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, automatic parking or rear collision warning.
The less you drive, the less risk you have of having an accident. If you drive less than 25,000 km/year, you can benefit from a discount of up to 15% for petrol cars and up to 10% for diesel cars, depending on the number of kilometres you drive¹.

² This offer is valid for a bonus-malus between -2 and 8 and a maximum of one accident at fault during the last 5 years, and for drivers aged 26 to 74. For the "Fully Insured Client" discount, at least one omnium guarantee must also be included.

Customised omnium
Choose between two levels of coverage for your Top Occasium insurance. “Multi-risks” covers fire, theft, glass breakage, natural disasters, and collision with animals. The comprehensive omnium adds damage caused to your vehicle by you or a third party.
Adapted premium
The purchase of a used car will necessarily be made at a value lower than the catalogue value. This is why the Top Occasium insurance premium is calculated based on the purchase invoice. You can thus therefore your investment in the best way while also respecting your budget.
Simplified excess
Top Occasium insurance allows for repairs without excess for damages covered by the "small" omnium (shattered windscreen, hail damage, damage caused by a thief...). On the other hand, an excess will apply for repairs related to a "large" omnium.
Approved repairer
Regardless of your level of coverage, you retain the choice of repairer. However, you can gain speed and efficiency by choosing one of the many AG-approved repairers. In this way, you will benefit from a warranty on repairs and spare parts, as well as the third-party payment system.
Replacement vehicle
If you opt for an approved AG repairer, you are entitled to a replacement vehicle during the immobilisation period. We also take care of all administrative tasks. Like that, you can get back on the road as quickly as possible and in the best conditions.
