How we put this into practice:
- By financing our clients’ projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions
- By integrating more sustainable and widely accessible practices into our banking services
- By contributing to a fairer society
BANK AND SUSTAINABILITY
To contribute to the European objective of carbon neutrality by 2050, BNP Paribas Fortis supports its clients in choosing loans and investments aligned with sustainability criteria. For us, sustainability means working together with our clients and making targeted efforts to support the energy and social transition.
PRIVATE CLIENTS AND SUSTAINABILITY
Our bank encourages households to adopt alternative solutions that benefit the environment, are energy-efficient and low in carbon emissions. These solutions can also deliver significant savings over time.

Sustainable housing focuses on energy efficiency and the responsible use of resources.
These solutions could make a difference:

To support the transition to a low-carbon society, the bank promotes sustainable mobility solutions that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This includes electric driving, soft mobility (bikes, scooters and similar solutions) and public transport.
Together with its partners AG(2), AlphaCredit(3) and Touring(4), BNP Paribas Fortis has developed a comprehensive offer that removes barriers to more sustainable mobility by combining insurance, financing, charging solutions and assistance.

The HappyNest (5) “I rent, I buy” formula allows you to rent a new, energy-efficient home with an option to buy. If you buy the property, you can also recover part of the rent paid.
COMPANIES AND SUSTAINABILITY
Every company has an interest in investing in its transition towards sustainability and in its social responsibility. Setting ESG objectives, covering Environment, Social and Governance, helps it better manage risks while benefiting the environment, its image and its market position. We understand these concerns and support businesses through our expertise and financial solutions. Consumers are increasingly sensitive to these issues and expect the same from the companies whose products or services they buy, even smaller businesses. Wherever a company is in its growth and transition, we are there to support it.

BNP Paribas Fortis offers dedicated financing solutions to Corporate Banking clients committed to improving their ESG performance.
