How to make a term deposit
To make a deposit into your term savings account, transfer money to the account, specifying in the instructions section what you want to happen at the end of the term: no reinvestment, reinvestment of the initial capital only, or reinvestment of both the initial capital and interest accrued.
For term deposits with a duration of seven days to twelve months, interest is always paid at the end of the term.
For term deposits with a duration of more than a year, interest can be paid monthly, quarterly, annually or at the end of the deposit.
Sample instructions:
- 1 month, reinvestment of capital only
- 3 months, no reinvestment
- Maturity on 8 January 2024, no reinvestment
- 2 years, reinvestment of capital and interest, interest paid semi-annually
If the deposit instructions we receive are incomplete or incorrect, our specialists will carry out the deposit in your best interests.
If you have requested a default instruction regarding the deposit in your term account, it will be applied automatically for all transfers to that account, regardless of other instructions.
