The Motorhome insurance is a Belgian-law liability insurance policy from AG, and distributed by BNP Paribas Fortis. The policy is valid for 1 year, at the end of which it will be renewed by tacit agreement for the same period, except where it is cancelled at least three months before the renewal date.

For a policy taken out or renewed by tacit agreement on or after 1 October 2024, you have until two months before the renewal date to cancel it. In addition, from the second year onwards, you can cancel the policy at any time. Cancellation will take effect at the end of a 2-month period starting the day after notice is given by registered mail or served upon us, or the day after we provide an acknowledgement of receipt.

Get a discount on your motorhome insurance

On or before 31 December 2026, you can benefit from several discounts.

Total Customer Insurance -10%

Benefit from a 10% discount on the Third-Party Liability and Top Omnium or OmniNature (&Glass) cover, for the entire term of your policy - provided the sum borrowed remains unchanged¹. You will receive the discount if you have:

Motorhome promotion

You get a free Motorhome+ Pack if you take out a new Motorhome insurance policy - or change the vehicle you wish to insure - and add at least the third-party liability and mini comprehensive cover¹+² to the sum borrowed.

Until 31 December 2026, if you opt for comprehensive cover you will also benefit from this additional benefit: the choice between a 10% discount on theTop Omnium Excellence package  or Flexi Excess free of charge³.

Safety bonus -10%

Driving assistance systems reduce the risk of an accident. You will therefore receive a 10% discount on “Third-Party Liability” cover and on the “Property Damage” part of the comprehensive cover if you equip your vehicle with at least two of the following five driving assistance systems: lane guard system, adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, automatic parking or rear collision warning⁴.

¹ This offer is valid for all new contracts and contract changes resulting from a change of vehicle.

² This offer is valid for a bonus malus between -2 and 8 and a maximum of one at-fault accident in the last five years, and the driver is at least 26 years old. At least one “damage to own vehicle” policy must also be included for the “Total customer insurance” discount.

³ With the Flexi Excess, the excess is waived in the event of a claim if the material damage is the result of a collision with an identified third party (pedestrian or vehicle) who confirms this collision in writing.  And in the event of a hit-and-run or vandalism if the damage is reported to the police within 24 hours of discovery and is  assessed by an expert appointed by AG.

⁴ This offer is valid when taking out (new policy or change of vehicle) a ‘Tourism and Business’ car insurance policy (luxury and mixed, mixed use, minibus, motorhome or 4x4) or goods transport policy covering up to 3.5 tonnes for a new vehicle with a first registration date on or after 1 January 2014.

  • Motorhome liability insurance

    With Motorhome Liability Insurance, AG goes beyond the legal minimum:

    • Once you reach a bonus-malus level of -2, you keep it for life.1
    • You are entitled to immediate assistance following a road accident or a puncture, as well as a replacement vehicle for 24 hours.2
    • If you have not had an at-fault claim for five years, you also benefit from the Turbo Bonus. This favourable calculation method does not take into account claims that occurred more than five years ago.

  • RC Max insurance

    We don't just stop at what's compulsory, even though our Motorhome liability insurance is already very comprehensive.

    With RC Max insurance, as soon as you achieve a bonus-malus rating of -2 (the lowest at AG), you'll receive up to €300,000 in compensation if you suffer injury as a driver. Even better, this insurance is free and granted automatically.

  • Top omnium

    For tailored protection of your motorhome, you can choose either mini comprehensive or full comprehensive cover, so you can travel with complete peace of mind:

    • The insured value of your motorhome remains unchanged for the first six months or 10,000 km after first registration.
    • In the event of theft, you are entitled to a replacement vehicle.
    • No excess applies for theft, glass breakage, fire, damage caused by natural disasters or animals.
    • Fully comprehensive also covers all damage to your motorhome, whatever the cause.

  • Motorhome+ pack

    Looking for extra protection for you and your motorhome? The Motorhome+ pack, when combined with Top Omnium, provides additional protection and extends your existing cover:

    • Additional cover for glass breakage affecting headlights, rear lights and exterior mirrors.
    • No depreciation for 36 months.
    • The excess is halved for authorised drivers over 40 at the time of the claim.
    • In the event of theft, you are entitled to a replacement MPV-type vehicle.
    • Compensation of up to €5,000 for accessories/options3 and transported goods4 in the event of a covered claim.
    • A daily allowance of €50 for up to four days if you are unable to continue your journey with your motorhome.

2 Immediate assistance is valid in all countries listed on the insurance certificate and applies to motorhomes under 3.5 tonnes. The replacement vehicle is only available in Belgium and up to 30 km beyond the national borders. The replacement period is extended until Monday if the incident occurs on a Friday or during the weekend.

4 Goods transported in, on or by the insured vehicle (excluding jewellery, currencies, banknotes, bullion, postage or fiscal stamps, cheques, commercial papers, bonds, shares, letters and telegrams).

  • Compensation for material damage and bodily injury caused to others in a road accident by an authorised driver of the vehicle

  • Compensation for bodily injury to vulnerable road users (cyclists, pedestrians and passengers of a motor vehicle)

  • In comprehensive cover:Multi-risk: covers theft of the vehicle, break-in, fire, glass breakage, storm damage, hail, flooding or collision with an animal

  • In comprehensive cover: Material damage: covers all damage to the vehicle, whether caused by yourself (at fault or not) or by others

Main risks not covered

  • Damage caused by a driver without a valid driving licence*

  • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs*

  • In comprehensive cover: Theft of the vehicle if the anti-theft system required by the insurer was not activated at the time of the incident

  • In comprehensive cover: Damage to the vehicle resulting from a construction defect, wear and tear, lack of maintenance, or use of the vehicle that does not comply with the manufacturer’s instructions

* In all cases, the company compensates the third parties but takes legal action against the person responsible for the accident.
