What are the limits for online payments?

If you pay by scanning a QR code with the Bancontact logo or via a Bancontact payment button: 

• You can pay up to €1,500 to a merchant and €250 to a friend.
• You can pay up to €2,500 per day and per card to a merchant and €250 to a friend.
• If you receive a payment, the limit is €250 per payment and €500 per day and per card.

If you pay a merchant by scanning a QR code with the Payconiq logo or via a Payconiq payment button, the limit of your debit card applies: 

• Unless it’s been increased, the payment limit is €2,500 per 7-day period.
• For minors, the payment limit is €250 per 7-day period. 

If you pay with a credit card, you can use the remaining spending limit of your credit card.
