Easily update your identity data via a CASH point

When you insert your bank card into a CASH point, you get a message informing you that you’re one of the customers whose identity data is not up to date in our system. In that case, you’ll be invited you to update your electronic identity card (eID).

How does it work?

To update the identity data we hold for you, follow these steps:

  • Insert your bank card. Select “Update my data” or follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Enter your bank card’s 4-digit PIN. The CASH point will then eject your bank card.
  • Put your bank card away and insert your eID card into the same slot in the ATM.
  • Accept our Privacy Notice.
  • Your eID information will be updated. This takes a little time. You don’t need to press any buttons to get your card back: just wait for your eID card to be ejected from the machine.

Why update your information?

It’s vital for us as a bank that our customers give us accurate and up-to-date identity information, for several reasons.

Firstly, we need accurate information in order to comply with Belgian and European regulations, particularly regarding efforts to combat money laundering and financial crime.

Secondly, having up-to-date identity information is also useful in other situations: it means we can send your bank card to the correct address and enables you to sign up to products or services remotely, for example via the Easy Banking Centre or our digital channels.
