BNP Paribas Fortis Foundation

BNP Paribas Fortis Foundation supports children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in Belgium. We empower their integration through education, contributing to a more inclusive society.

A focus on youth

Since 2010, the BNP Paribas Fortis Foundation has been committed to combating the financial, social and digital exclusion of young people. The King Baudouin Foundation provides administrative support.

3 types of support for associations

Financial support

The BNP Paribas Fortis Foundation provides financial support to associations every year. It does this mainly through its Champions call for projects, which aims to help children and young people succeed in their schooling.

Volunteer support from our colleagues

The “1MillionHours2Help” programme enables our employees to donate their working hours to support local associations. Since 2018, our Belgian colleagues have contributed nearly 80,000 hours to partner associations and community groups in their region.

Donations in kind

Thanks to our partner “Close the Gap”, we have been donating our used computer equipment to associations that work with young people since 2013. Close the Gap aims to bridge the digital divide in Belgium and in developing countries.

The Inclusion Lab

A 700m² co-working space has been set up in our new headquarters in Brussels. Six associations share and collaborate in this space.  This is a tangible way to bring the non-profit world closer to our bank and support their daily work.
