The Top Home policy is a Belgian fire insurance policy for buildings and contents, offered by AG Insurance SA and distributed by BNP Paribas Fortis SA.*
The Theft cover and Theft+ Pack are optional guarantees under the Belgian Top Home building and contents fire insurance policy offered by AG Insurance SA and distributed by BNP Paribas Fortis SA.*
Fire, explosion, implosion, lightning, storm or hail, electrical incidents (short circuit, etc.)
Natural disasters – flooding (including rainwater run-off), overflow and backflow of public sewers, earthquake, landslide or subsidence
Water damage (including leak detection, pipe repair and dry-rot treatment) and damage caused by heating oil
Glass breakage – windows, TV screens, solar panels, etc.
Theft of insured contents
Damage to insured contents caused by (attempted) theft, vandalism or malicious acts
The cost of replacing locks on external doors if keys or remote controls are stolen
100% protection for your personal belongings – compared with 50% for the standard Theft cover – with doubled compensation limits per insured risk, except for valuables
Psychological support: up to five counselling sessions are arranged and covered if you are a victim of home-jacking or an assault during (an attempted) theft
Loss or damage intentionally caused by the insured party
Damage to a derelict building or one slated for demolition
Damage to motor vehicles (including cars with at least four wheels, scooters, or motorbikes > 50 cc / 4 kW)
Damage resulting from failure to comply with contractual obligations regarding the condition or protection of insured property
Theft when the preventive measures specified in the Top Home policy were not applied by the policyholder (e.g. failure to lock external doors when absent)
Theft committed with the complicity of yourself, your spouse or partner, your ascendants or descendants, or your spouse’s or partner’s relatives
Damage to motor vehicles
Damage when preventive measures specified in the contract were not taken
Theft of outdoor property if the Garden Pack or Pool Pack has not been taken out – both are optional covers under the Top Home fire insurance
Theft or damage committed with your complicity or that of your relatives or partner

*These contracts are concluded for a period of one year and are automatically renewed for the same period unless cancelled at least three months before the main expiry date.
For contracts taken out or tacitly renewed from 1 October 2024, you have up to two months before the main expiry date to cancel. From the second year of insurance, you may also cancel the contract at any time; cancellation takes effect two months after the day following the posting, service, or acknowledgement of receipt of the registered letter.
