Effective protection

Your Mastercard Gold credit card includes four different types of insurance. These cover your purchases (in-store and online), protect you against fraudulent use of your card, and provide protection in the event of a cancelled trip.

Online, worldwide

With your Mastercard Gold credit card, you can pay for your online or in-store purchases around the world. You can also pay by contactless and via your mobile devices.

Included in the Easy Guide pack

The Mastercard Gold credit card is included in the Easy Guide pack and is available as an optional extra in the Easy Go pack.

The scope of your protection

What are the main risks covered?

  • Travel cancellation insurance
    Cancellation of a trip in case of sickness, an accident, death or major material damage suffered by the insured. Your trip is covered as long as you have paid at least 70% of the price of your trip for yourself or your family members with your Mastercard Gold credit card.

  • Purchase protection insurance
    Purchase protection in case of theft or accidental damage caused to the item that you purchased with your credit card, for up to 120 days after the date of purchase or delivery.

  • Online purchase protection insurance
    Additional protection for online purchases in case of non-delivery, if the wrong item is delivered, or if the item was damaged or defective upon delivery, for up to 90 days after the date of purchase.

  • Fraudulent use insurance
    In case of a fraudulent payment or withdrawal by a third party using your credit card.

What are the main risks that are not covered?

  • Travel cancellation insurance
    Cancellation of a trip for sales or business purposes, or in the event of the tour operator's bankruptcy.

  • Purchase protection insurance
    Loss or disappearance of the insured item.

  • Online purchase protection insurance
    When the insured item is not delivered due to a strike of the postal or courier service.

  • Fraudulent use insurance
    Fraudulent use due to an intentional error on your behalf or with your complicity, such as keeping your credit card and the PIN code in the same, unsecured place.
