The day of your big trip is approaching. But before you set off, there are a few things to sort out. We know it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and not know where to begin. That’s why we’ve put together a checklist. It’ll help you get organised, travel with peace of mind and make the most of every moment while you’re away.
The first thing to check? Whether your cards will work while you’re away. Depending on where you’re going, you may need to adjust your card settings. You can do this yourself via Easy Banking App – either before or during your holiday – and the changes take effect instantly.
How? Open Easy Banking App, select ‘My services’ > ‘Accounts and cards’, choose your card and adjust the settings.
If it’s a credit card, tap the small gear icon at the top to access and edit its settings.
What can you manage for your debit card?
What can you manage for your credit card?
You can also manage your accounts and cards via Easy Banking Web – whether you’re at home or already away. Update your settings, block and replace a card, adjust your transfer limits… all in just a few clicks.
In the eurozone, payments are free with both your debit and credit card – but withdrawals are cheaper with your debit card.
Outside the eurozone, using a credit card is usually the most cost-effective option for payments.
Want to stay on top of your budget while you’re away? With Easy Banking App, you can.
Start by checking with your health insurance provider to see what’s already covered. If needed, you can take out additional travel insurance.
Unlucky to fall ill 12,000 km from home? If you’ve taken out an Annual Travel Insurance with Touring* or Temporary Travel Insurance with Touring*, it’ll cover medical costs not reimbursed by your mutual health insurance. You’ll also benefit from extended repatriation support – and may be covered if you need to cancel due to illness, serious accident or bereavement.
Your holiday doesn’t have to end at the roadside. Whether you’ve added Top Assistance* to your car insurance or have a Breakdown Assistance with Touring Go* policy, you’ll be able to continue your trip with a repaired car or a replacement vehicle.
You've arrived at your holiday rental, safe in the knowledge that your liability for damage to the house is covered by your Top Family* insurance policy. And if you’ve selected this option, damage to your rental car may also be included – helping you avoid extra fees from the rental company.*
More into two wheels than four? Our Bike insurance* policy protects your favourite bike – with or without electric assistance – against theft and material damage, worldwide. It can also include assistance across most of Europe and injury cover globally.
Because prevention is better than cure, especially during the holiday season when break-ins are more common, we also help you protect your home while you’re away. Discover our all-in-one Homiris** alarm system and remote monitoring offer – with no installation fees.
Been in an accident or had something stolen on holiday? Report your claim by phone or online via Easy Banking Web or Easy Banking App. If you need support, our partners are available 24/7 by phone.
Have a question? Head to Easy Banking App and check our FAQs – you’ll find them via Communication (bottom of the screen) > Help and contact. Pick a topic to see common questions and answers. You can also report fraud or get in touch with Card Stop.
Still need help? After selecting a topic, tap ‘Call Easy Banking Centre’.
