How can I register for Easy banking?

You can activate Easy banking in two ways:

1. You need to provide a Belgian mobile number and your e-mail address to activate the app.
2. You must choose a unique password reserved specifically for Easy banking.
3. You will be prompted to read and accept the Easy banking terms and conditions, after which you can sign with an M2 signature (blue button on the card reader).

Using your smartphone or tablet, you can directly:

 Easy banking is an additional PC banking service and is available at no extra cost for all customers over 18 who have a PC banking contract.

How do I log into Easy banking?

First logon:

When logging on to Easy banking for the first time you have to enter your user number or your customer number and the number of your bank card.
Give your profile a name. The details will be saved. You do not have to enter these details again the next time you use Easy banking.
Then select a logon method. There are two ways to log on:

The first time you log on, Easy banking will register the details of your device. The next time you log on you need only enter your password. The app identifies the device you are using to log on.

Please note: you must repeat the procedure to register the device by first logging on with a text message code or card reader for each device you wish to use for Easy banking.

Under your contract you can register up to 20 devices. If you wish to register an additional device, call the Helpdesk on 02 433 41 90. One of our employees will cancel the registration of another device.

Where can I find my user or customer number?

To register in Easy banking you need your user number or your customer number.

Your user number is on your PC banking contract or on the confirmation document you received when applying online for a PC banking contract. The number is made up of six digits or the letter 'E' + seven digits.

 Your customer number consists of 10 digits. You can find this number on the front of your bank card. Cards issued before July 2010 do not have a customer number. In that case you can find this number by:

To log on or sign transactions in with the card reader you must have a valid BNP Paribas Fortis bank, a debit card which you are the holder of as a PC banking contracting party.
Before you can use the card in the card reader it must first be used to withdraw cash from an ATM or used to pay a vendor.

You cannot log on with a credit card.

I have entered an incorrect PIN three times. The text 'PIN blocked' appears on the screen of my card reader. What should I do?

After 3 incorrect attempts, your card will be blocked. You can unblock your card

The limit for transfers is EUR 25,000 a week. This limit does not apply to transfers between your own accounts.

Can I make a transfer to a new, unregistered beneficiary?

It is possible to make transfers to unknown beneficiaries. You have the possibility of saving that beneficiary. Naturally a transfer to an unknown beneficiary requires an M2 signature with the card reader.

You also have the option to turn off 'transfer to an unknown beneficiary' in 'Settings'. You can reactivate this option at any time.

Can I undo a transfer made in Easy Banking?

This depends on the type of transfer:

is it a transfer in Easy banking without an execution date? In that case you can lo longer cancel it after the bank has received it;

transfers with an execution date can be cancelled up until the day before the scheduled transfer date. You can cancel them in the app or through PC banking. You can do this in PC banking, under the ‘Transfer with execution date' link (left-hand menu).

How can I be sure that my transfer through Easy Banking will actually be carried out?

Immediately after entering and confirming a transfer you will receive a message confirming your request. Obviously this will not be the case should your smartphone or tablet cut out during the input and transmission of data.
You can check transactions on your account with Easy banking. Transfers recently entered in Easy banking will also be displayed..

What happens if my device cuts out while making a transfer in Easy banking?

Did the device cut out before you received confirmation? In that case the transaction did not go ahead. You will have to enter the data again.

What is Easy transfer?

Easy transfer is a new function in Easy banking.
Easy transfer allows you to make a transfer between two Belgian mobile phone numbers that are each linked to an account number. This means you need not know the beneficiary's account number.
Once the link has been made from a Belgian mobile number to a current account, you can send or receive an Easy transfer payment through that number.

Yes, the beneficiary will receive a text message asking them to register for Easy transfer. They can register for Easy transfer on www.easytransfer.be. They do not have to be a BNP Paribas Fortis customer.

Will the beneficiary of the Easy transfer receive a message?

The beneficiary will not receive a message if they have already activated Easy transfer;

The beneficiary will only receive a text message if they have not yet activated Easy transfer. This text message is an invitation to register their mobile phone.

You can only link a current account of which you are the holder or joint holder to your mobile phone. You can always change your account number through the 'Settings' link in Easy transfer.

  1. Zoomit allows you to pay your electronic invoices in less than no time, using a previously completed transfer form. This handy function is already available in PC banking and has now been integrated into our Easy banking app

  2. The 'Tasks' link with the "letterbox" icon (linked to the account) provides access to a screen with links to 'history' and 'to do'.

    The 'to do' submenu lists

    • all the invoices you can pay; plus
    • the suppliers you may authorise to send you invoices through Zoomit.

    Paying an invoice or accepting a supplier only requires one click. In one simple click you can pay an invoice or accept a new sender.

    The 'history' submenu shows a summary of all paid invoices, received payslips, etc.

     If desired, you can receive a message:

    • when an invoice approaches the due date;
    • when a new supplier registers in Zoomit.

    You can always turn the messaging service on or off through "Settings".
