TIP: How can you open up your internet browser with add-ons disabled?

It is possible to open up a temporary session of the most recent browsers with add-ons disabled. This can be useful as certain add-ons prevent PC banking from working correctly.

  • Version IE 6 & 7:

  • As from version IE8:

  • Click at the top of the Firefox window on the Firefox button.
  • Go to the 'Help' menu.

    • Firefox will open up with the 'Firefox Safe Mode' dialog box.
    • As soon as the 'Firefox Safe Mode' window appears, press the 'Start in Safe Mode' button.
